Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • At early design stages, advise and analyze the customer needs, design medical equipment plans (equipment selections, department by department, room by room, BoQ, Specs) using the GE hospital technology planning tools. These solutions shall consist of GE and non-GE equipment to provide a comprehensive solution.

  • Provide direct support and education to partner/packager companies as required to support commercial activity. Ensure the support of the project sales teams in fulfilling their commercial objectives.

  • Provide Design Advisory leadership to contribute to the optimization of the hospital architectural designs by providing an “Expert opinion” service on the architectural layout provided by the customer’s architect.

  • Focus on technology rich areas of healthcare facilities to devise the most appropriate concepts that can be realized by a local certified architect. Consider the adjacencies, workflow, sizing, scaling and ambiance/theme of those areas.

  • Contribute to the development and expansion of HHS partnerships, particularly with non-GE medical equipment manufacturers, packagers, architects and consultants. Including the management of any vendor contracts in place or required. Maintain an active list of approved contractors for overflow work.

  • Be the single point of contact and coordinate the medical equipment of the facility including procurement, logistics, installation and commissioning, application training.

  • Provide thought leadership for healthcare facility layout & design, including new solutions developments, publications and speaking engagements.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of the medical technology, preferably Biomedical, Engineering (electro-mechanical or civil works) degree with a Postgraduate study in relevant field.

  • Excellent knowledge of the functional design of the various hospital departments and spaces.

  • Solid experience in site planning, large-scale project management, construction, or installations, preferably with int’l exposure, including site management.

  • Proven ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization in collaborative spirit· Proactive, self-directed, creative, clear thinking, able to implement plan via a well thought out process.

  • Customer oriented and committed to quality.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Open to travel extensively.

  • Fluent in English (mandatory), additional Eastern Europe languages will be an added advantage.

  • Knowledge of key players in global healthcare market: Healthcare providers, Architects, Suppliers, Vendors.

  • Excellent customer contact and communication skills

  • Teamwork capability
