Job Description Summary

Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users needs. The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation.

Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.

The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage global time schedule of concerned engineering activities, check coherency of links between engineering activities and other project functions activities (procurement, construction, commissioning) and organize follow up of critical activities of the project or of his/her discipline.

  • Ensure on-time delivery of design to stakeholders with suitable quality including Partner documents

  • Lead & coordinate the design teams, and for large & complex project support PED and Project I&I manager in the engineering change management

  • Participate and contribute to the project multidisciplinary design reviews according to the EMH procedures and per the project strategy

  • Participate to project strategy elaboration with PM and manage design issues up to resolution

  • Analyze customer technical requirements, prepare and or consolidate clause by clause analysis and ensure compliance to Customer requirements through Technical queries, identify, track, manage potential exception and represents customer interests in the design decisions at PM request

  • Validate design throughout customer acceptanceand check consistency of engineering documents before final release to customer while managing evolution of customer requirements & associated impacts

  • Checkeffectiveness of design against delivery of contract requirements within project budget and look for global cost optimization in all design phase and mainly during basic design

  • Integrate EHS requirements based on project Strategy, and deploy HAZID (Hazard identification) sessions at different project phases

  • Approve the technical evaluation of offers from suppliersSupport Procurement during commercial negotiation for POs issuance and during post order stage

  • Support site organization during site preparation and throughout construction and commissioning stage, when requiredand ensure compliance with Quality Procedures, work instructions and Processes defined at Unit, project level, and in EMH

  • Demonstrate EHS leadership and ensure Zero Deviation Plan is implemented within the team, by setting the example by demonstrating the proper acts and actively observes work conditions and behaviors, giving constructive feedback and celebrating EHS effective prevention

Required Qualifications

  • All CVs must be submitted in English

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

  • BSc or MSc in Engineering or equivalent education

  • High voltage experience. Electrical power transmission

  • Fluent in Greek language and English language

  • EU Work Permit

  • Exposure to several of the applicable engineering disciplines for the business scope considered

  • Proven experience in end-to-end project management in a multi-disciplinary team’s context including multiple interfaces and with products coming from several countries

  • Experience of team building as lead engineer

  • Skilled at Influencing and relationship building

  • Experience in technical problem solving

  • General Knowledge of GRID Solutions factories and products through FAT, site visits

  • Knowledge of Transmission or Distribution industry

  • Demonstrated presentation skills and ability to succinctly communicate complex messages

  • Demonstrated ownership & accountability, judgment and decision making, influences & inspires team, creates a vision and strategy, and has passion for the role
