General Electric Software Product Manager in Asheville, North Carolina
The Software Product Manager will build a product backlog for an enterprise software application used for managing operations at power plants. In this role, you will collect requirements, document domain models, craft wireframes, and develop user stories for web-based applications used by managers to identify risks and evaluate performance of plant-wide activity.
As the Software Product Manager, you will:
Collect and document requirements from others using interviews and reviews of requirements artifacts
Draw and document domain and data models
Craft wireframes and user stories that enforce information architecture and workflow described in the requirements and domain models
Present and communicate the requirements to user and engineering audiences
Establish yourself with developers as a reliable source of domain specific answers
Interview and work with users and stakeholders over the phone, email and in person
Use diagramming tools to model business and functional requirements
Create and publish pages to a Wiki site
Communicate about updates and changes to the stakeholder audience
Communicate status and demonstrate progress of the analysis effort to the business owner

Expert in the analysis of requirements and translating these requirements into an effective backlog that can be sized by an engineering team
Demonstrated proficiency with visual modeling, diagramming and communicating designs
Ability to lead / collaborate with others on investigations and discussions of design concepts
Demonstrated solid understanding of Agile software engineering processes
Experience with operations of power generation plants
