GE Healthcare is the global industry leader in cyclotron and radiochemistry systems. As a Radiopharmacy Chemistry Service Support Engineer, you provide daily support to GE Healthcare field engineers and direct to customers. You will also provide service at customer sites for the North American customer base. On-site service includes equipment installation, GE-initiated field modifications (FMI's), Preventative Maintenance (PM's), and emergency corrective actions when needed. While this role is focused on radiochemistry, an ideal candidate will also have experience running and maintaining a cyclotron. This role provides you with the full life-cycle service experience, as well as opportunities to gain perspective from local GE peers and customers.
Completing Preventative Maintenance and Field Modification Instructions in a timely manner
Solve cyclotron, chemistry synthesis, and FDA documentation issues for customer, and improve customer satisfaction
Certify cGMP installation and preventive maintenance of chemistry synthesizers
Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner
Utilizing the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues and conducting root cause analysis that will lead to effective problem solving
Teach and assist other Field Engineers on advanced and complex troubleshooting and technical fixes, plays a leading role on complex and multi-functional system fixes
Willing to travel 60-70 %
Flexible work hours required: includes overnight, on-line center support shifts and weekend service at customer sites if scheduled
3+ years’ experience of working with and/or servicing radiochemistry synthesis modules, to include (but not limited to) various TRACERlab FX and FASTlab/ FASTlab 2 systems
Bachelors degree in chemistry, radiochemistry, or engineering preferred, but will consider experienced non-degreed individuals with an established background in radiochemistry/ organic synthesis principles
Experience with Carbon-11 radiochemistry HIGHLY DESIRABLE
Cyclotron experience preferred
Ability to understand and follow mechanical schematics and electrical wiring diagrams
Willing and able to travel 60-70%, mostly in the North America, but the job will include global customer locations in support of critical escalations
