General Electric Lead On-Site Service Specialist - Field Quality in Asheville, North Carolina

Job Description Summary

• As a Lead Services Specialist 2 you will leverage your skills to aid the FSR Lead Area Manager in managing a team of field service technicians supporting USMC fleet of C130J Aircraft propellers. Includes all types of maintenance services (preventive and remedial), act as Quality Lead for all field activities in US providing direction and insight to US Field Service Reps. In this role you will be based out of Cherry Point MCAS and may require up to 60% of the time.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and insight as focal for US FSR quality activities

  • Interact with QA Leadership, central team & Field teams.

  • Maintain ownership of root cause identification corrective actions reducing CoPQ within US FSR activities

  • Support Quality team initiatives in driving Continuous Improvements

  • Define Quality Control & Inspection plans for US Field Services

  • Develop a safe and compliant work environment for Dowty USAF FSRs.

  • Implement best practices procedures that lower costs and improve output of the propeller repair program.

  • Provide the team administrative support and help coordinate team meetings and training sessions.

  • Interact with engineering, materials HR to handle day to day activities.

  • Works together with high level people from the business and SPB and EB level. Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done. Diverse clients in a region.

  • Works predefined contracts and frameworks. Some latitude to deviate from those conditions.

  • Provide general technical direction and assistance to the customer in the operation, maintenance, repair, logistic support, and installation of GE products

  • Perform intermediate and depot level maintenance

  • Create, Sign-off and provide Certificate or Conformance Paperwork, Propeller logbooks, History cards, work accomplished packets and other required documents

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Services).

  • Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in On Site Services.

  • An understanding of AS9100 and Quality management systems

  • Working Knowledge of FAA/EASA part145 regulations

  • Experience in conducting Quality Audits

  • Proven experience in leading and facilitating RCCA activities

  • Provide training on production quality and inspection

  • Able to lift minimum of 65 Lbs

  • Must be able to pass a non-DOT drug test and a background check

  • Ability to travel up to 60% worldwide
