Role Summary:

The Services Shop Manager is responsible for a broad wing-to-wing execution of downhole rod pump services including leading and supervising a team, meeting day-to-day customer requests and order fulfillment, delivery of pump failure reports, support pump failure meetings, resolution of technical and commercial issues, and developing service solutions that promote increased customer satisfaction. The candidate will play a key role in growing customer relationships and earning customer loyalty.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Services Shop Manager, you will:

  • Be responsible for meeting all established safety, quality, delivery and cost goals for a downhole rod pump shop

  • Select, hire, train, develop, and provide ongoing leadership and direction of assigned personnel

  • Provide leadership, ongoing supervision and counseling for employees, training and development, guidance in current positions and assisting with career development and training

  • Be responsible for timely SAP data entry related to processing service and parts orders following established processes and procedures; ensure process adoption and transactional discipline

  • Drive world-class quality and adherence to API specs for downhole pumps

  • Forecast, plan and work closely with supply chain to source needed parts and material to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders

  • Be focused on growing customer relationships and improving the efficiency by which we transact and compete to earn customer loyalty through quick responses, high quality products and repair services, project execution, and timely service solutions

  • Manage customer relationship and expectations including service delivery and fulfillment, reporting, failure analysis meeting support, contractual management, invoicing, collections, and forecasting

  • Schedule and coordinate activity between customers and fulfillment centers coordinating all service tech teams to provide the highest level of service and in compliance with contracted Terms and Conditions and GE financial requirements

  • Direct and administer pump tear down reports and inspection activities so as to ensure on-time completion, within internal and external quality / specification requirements

  • Close out projects including financials documentation and warranty administration (both new units and services)

  • Support the Inquiry-To-Order (ITO) sales proposal process with Sales team in preparing pricing and quotes for downhole pumps and parts

  • Implement and drive continuous process improvements with fulfillment teams

  • Navigate and use internal systems including transactional-SAP, reporting / analysis, MS Office Word / Excel / Powerpoint Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution with a minimum of 6 years of experience within both technical and commercial customer relations including minimum 2 years leadership / supervisory experience)

  • Minimum 2 years experience within both technical and commercial customer relations

  • Minimum 2 years leadership / supervisory experience Desired Characteristics:

  • Demonstrated business / commercial acumen / leadership

  • Deep technical knowledge of down-hole pumps and associated equipment

  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving abilities

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience, preferably in Oil & Gas industry

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple customer events simultaneously

  • Strong situational awareness
