General Electric Raw Materials Control Coordinator I in Arlington Heights, Illinois

Role Summary:

The Raw Materials Control Coordinator performs assignments in support of GE Healthcare product distribution including receiving, inspection, disposition, staging, storing, picking, reconciliation and final packaging of radio-pharmaceutical finished goods.

Essential Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities/essential functions performed in a cGMP, FDA regulated environment include:

• Inspect, disposition, pick and package materials per SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)

• Perform root cause analysis, make recommendations and document non-conforming materials and processes

• Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts or personal industrial trucks

• Physically and systemically perform picking and packaging of individual finished goods under time sensitive deadlines

• Perform timely order picking with basic trouble shooting skills using Enterprise Resource Planning/radio frequency systems

• Coordinate with on-site and/or off-site warehousing facilities for materials replenishment and material for storage

• Work with appropriate Manufacturing Quality Control/Quality Assurance and Logistics personnel to resolve/prevent material shortages

• Maintain/review critical documentation necessary for recording, allocating and dispersing a variety of regulated materials

• Perform cycle count audits and physical inventory with basic trouble shooting skills

• Assist with inventory reconciliation and report discrepancies to Team Lead/Supervisor

• May assist in training new hires

• May participate in process reviews and investigations

• Comply with EHS & Quality System regulations and policies

• Read and follow work instructions and bills of materials

• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned


Quality Specific Goals:

Aware of and comply with Stop Order, Concession, Non-Conforming Material, Material Identification & Segregation, Documentation Configuration Control, Good Documentation Practices, Approved Supplier/Sourcing & device master record/device history record requirements as associated with this job type/position.

  2. Aware of and comply with the GE Healthcare Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

  3. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

  4. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action, as required

  5. Maintain "As Low As Reasonably Achievable" standards and manage daily activities to ensure alignment with goals

Required Qualifications:

• High school Diploma/GED or local equivalent

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain

• Demonstrate ability to read, write and speak in local language

• Proficient in basic mathematics

• Ability to work various shifts on-call, weekends and holidays

• Strong communication skills and work with high performance teams

• Basic computer skills

• Ability to consistently lift

• Ability to utilize automatic lifting equipment

Desired Characteristics:

• Experience with Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Distribution Centers

• Experience with 21CFR, parts 11, 210, 211 in the FDA regulated industry

• Knowledge of radioactive material handling and contamination control

• Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning/SAP/Warehouse Management material flow methods

• Basic knowledge of quality and inventory control

• Knowledge of root cause analysis methods

• Prior experience using a forklift and weight scales
