Job Description Summary

As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering activities associated with Pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and equipment. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Our Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) business is the number one global supplier of contrast media and molecular imaging agents used to enhance medical imaging exams. Used throughout all major disease area diagnostic and treatment pathways, PDxproducts support three patients every second around the world.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes Manufacturing Engineers.

  • Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.

  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.

  • Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in an engineering or science field (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in a GMP regulated environment).

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, mark

  • et, and execute programs.

  • Knowledge of PLCs (programming a plus)

  • Knowledge of Lean Concepts

  • Data Mining
