Job Description Summary
In this role the Data Scientist will be working on building Machine Learning and other Advanced Analytics solutions for GE Healthcare Command Center customers. As a Data Scientist you will work independently on all phases of an analytics project which will include data preparation, data analysis, model development, reporting insights, project management, presentation of results and recommendations to stakeholders. She/he will work closely with multiple engineering teams to support the research and development of Data Science technologies . Roles and Responsibilities: In this role, you will:
Build an understanding of the business needs that enables the team to gather requirements, leverage appropriate technology and analytical tools to build solutions and improve business outcomes
Process, analyze and synthesize customer data from multiple sources. Explore data and discover patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies, and trends
Research methodology, tools and frameworks for data analytics. Engage in technical discussions, participate in technical designs and present technical ideas. Demonstrate the ability to make informed technology choices after due diligence and impact assessment
Build models and machine-learning algorithms to solve complex customer problems and optimize outcomes. Be an expert in core machine learning algorithms as well as other advanced analytic algorithms. Build and deliver production-grade code for models.
Own the end-to-end development and deployment of scalable and versatile ML/AI based solutions. Partner with Data Engineering Team, Machine Learning Operations team to develop a rich ML ecosystem with automated workflows, pipelines and tools for continuous delivery and MLOps
Partner with product management, project management, scrum leaders, business leaders in various functional groups to guide, advise and manage ML projects.
Demonstrate the understanding of Agile software development lifecycle and be able to distinguish the core inputs and outputs in each cycle. Identify the scope of the work, provide initial estimate and justify the estimate with facts
Patent and publish novel technologies developed by Machine Learning Team. Write good quality reports and presentations on analytical projects.
Master of Science in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
1 years of hands on development experience in Java, Python
1 years of hands on experience using BI tools like Tableau
1 years of hands on experience in SQL with strong understanding of relational database structures, principles and practices.
A strong mathematical foundation, excellent analytical capabilities with experience in a range of machine learning techniques. Deep understanding of two or more core Machine Learning Algorithms
2 or more years of experience with git technologies, scripting and automation tools. Ability to develop and maintain production grade code for models.
Demonstrated awareness of how to function in a team setting. Demonstrated awareness of critical thinking and problem solving methods. Demonstrated awareness of presentation skills
Demonstrated awareness of how to leverage curiosity and creativity to drive business impact
Experience with feature extraction and real-time analytics methods. Demonstrated awareness of analytic prototyping, analytic scaleup, analytic scaling, and solutions integration
Experience using tools like Intellij, Pycharm, Visual Studio.
Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning or software engineering field.
Good knowledge of medical datasets and predictive analytics in healthcare domain
1 or more years of practical experience deploying ML models in production environment within an enterprise. Experience with one or more Machine Learning Operations Frameworks and Orchestration technologies, serving predictions at scale - from model training to predictions and delivery of results to end users (using Spark)
1 or more years of experience deploying and managing scalable containerized services, including in a cloud or on-prem environment (Kubernetes/Docker)
Experience delivering data science analytics in an Agile framework. Experience with product management of advanced analytics solutions.
Experience with cloud compute environments (Azure/AWS) and cloud-native tools for machine learning
Experience with application of mathematical optimization techniques for machine learning problems
