General Electric Senior Manager – Inside Sales in Annapolis, Maryland

Job Description Summary

Sr Manager– Digital Inside Sales is responsible for managing the Americas Inside Sales Associates (GED and/or Contractors). He/she maximizes inside sales selling motions by maximizing time and efficiency via qualification of MQL leads, prospect identification, further qualification, cold calling, appointment setting, resolving sales force issues, and driving qualified opportunities to the direct and channel sales teams.

Essential Responsibilities :

  • This position is an integral part of the Americas Sales Team and requires collaborating with Channel Managers, Enterprise Account Managers, Solution Architects, Marketing, Product, and Operations resources.

  • S/he will work closely with cross functional teams in all GE businesses to drive and lead growth in manufacturing software, services, and outcome-driven revenue generation. S/he will partner closely with leaders to drive the creation and development of an overall sales readiness vision in the context of our expanding global business.

  • Develop an outcome/solution selling framework for GE Digital Inside Sales team — tailor deal lifecycle, enablement deliverables, required resources, technology support, maturity model, sales methodology etc. in an industrial manufacturing setting.

  • Vision and Mission – Provide clear vision and mission to the Inside sales team to ensure all members of the organization have clear, simple objectives, and (SMART) priorities while using lean principles, problem solving, and standard work.

  • Lead & Support – Provide the necessary leadership while leading by example using prior commercial selling experience as a Channel Manager and/or Enterprise Account Manager experience.

  • Coach and mentor direct reports which are responsible for MQL Lead Qualification and Routing, Cold Calling and Prospecting, Appointment Setting, Number of MQLs processed and/or Cold Calls per day and attending daily management calls while managing SFDC opportunities.

  • Hold the Team Accountable for High Say/Do Ratio on all activities as measured by agreed upon time, quantity, and quality metrics. Use SFDC and Tableau dashboards and lean principles to develop a bowler to manage the team’s performance.

  • Deliver at the highest possible speed and quality is critical in this role, as is consistent process execution, and identification and elimination of process inefficiencies. Success is measured via adherence to stated service levels, conversion rates, and orders volume.

  • Build efficient processes & tool / identification and elimination of process inefficiencies while using lean principles and problem solving.

  • Provide regular feedback to stakeholders within the business while collaborating with the sales and marketing team.

Qualifications/Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • A minimum 10 years of professional experience.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE will not agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa, now or in the future.

  • Must be willing to travel 50% of the time

  • Open to remote locations within the US.

Desired Characteristics :

  • A minimum 8 years of selling Industrial Software and/or Inside Sales Experience with a minimum of 5 years of selling Automation and MES software.

  • Deep domain expertise across manufacturing verticals (Consumer Packaged Goods, Food & Beverage, etc.)

  • Experience in high volume lead generation and qualification environments while using customer relationship management systems such as SFDC.

  • Experience in industrial enterprise software sales in a business to business setting using direct and/or channel go to market strategy.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills combined with budget management.

  • Strong analytical and process skills – lean problem solving.
