Role Summary:

The Senior Industrial Sales Manager – Grid Automation will be responsible for developing, managing, and growing customer accounts in the Northeast, US.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Senior Industrial Sales Manager – Grid Automation, you will:

  • Develop and execute commercial strategy for sales of Protection & Control, Automation, and Monitoring & Diagnostic Products / Projects for Industrial accounts within the specified region

  • Develop and manage the network of third party sales representatives for selling GE GA products

  • Ensure the development of new leads and market opportunities in the region

  • Manage sales opportunities and quarterly estimates for new and existing accounts through a CRM

  • Be accountable for meeting or exceeding the orders and sales plans

  • Work with customers to determine their CTQs (Critical To Quality) and appropriate product / service solutions needs

  • Outline, present and sell the value of our products and services that can benefit our customer needs

  • Work directly with Customers to influence specifications and close key deals

  • Provide an essential link from the customer to commercial operations, marketing, engineering and product development teams

  • Develop and cultivate long-term relationships at all levels of customer organizations and within GE

  • Provide market dynamics input (i.e., competitive intelligence) to the Marketing and Business team

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronic / Electrical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation Engineering or related technical field from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in protection & controls / automation applications

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct sales within Industrial markets

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability and willingness to travel, as required

Desired Characteristics:

  • Deep Power System Grid Automation market segment knowledge and expertise

  • Knowledge of Power System hardware and Industrial customer electrical applications

  • Experience developing and executing successful growth strategies

  • Ability to make effective customer technical presentations

  • Successful orders growth track record

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to work efficiently without direct supervision

  • Desire to work outside of boundaries and drive change

  • Six Sigma Certification or equivalent Quality certification
