General Electric Lead Engineer - Service Engineering in Aberdeen, United States

Role Summary:

The System engineer has technical responsibility for all aspects of system design where assigned to engineering activities for Integrated solutions i.e installation, production enhancement, production life extension or well decommission activities.

This role reports functionally to the Engineering manager of ISS Systems engineering and operationally to appointed Engineering manager (Projects, Production enhancement, Production life extension or Well Decommission).

Essential Responsibilities:

The role is responsible for design of system architecture in collaboration with the product companies teams, external partners and/or 3rd parties from early engagement FEED, ITO into requisition (OTR) and delivery to customers.

  • System architecture for FEED, ITO or OTR business purposes.

  • Delivery of the System design basis and product functional design specifications.

  • Definition and control of the System master equipment list.

  • Delivery of the System design and system level schematics.

  • Delivery of System documentation from MDR – including reports, data sheets, procedures, manuals.

  • System material selection and corrosion protection philosophy.

  • System internal and external Interfaces.

  • System design verification activities.

  • Technical Change control process.

  • System technical assurance program.

  • System flow Assurance, hydrate management and thermal Design.

  • 3rd party certification and regulatory compliance programs.

  • System intervention, inspection, maintenance and repair strategy.

  • System Integrating testing program.

  • Technical Risk Management plan including HAZOP &HAZID.

  • Reliability Management incl. RAM analysis, FMECA and SIL engineering. Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.

  • Technical expertise across at least one of the following product lines - Trees, Well Intervention, Controls.

  • Practical working knowledge of Subsea systems engineering life cycle.

  • Domain expertise across one of the following - Hydro mechanical, Electrical, Structural.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
