The Director, Data & Analytics will be a key thought leader driving all levels of strategy, vision and execution to deliver on the mission of a world-class Finance data analytics platform across GE. You will be responsible for applying Agile methodologies to lead the ETL development team in delivering best in class applications using industry standard enterprise integration tools.
You will develop and enforce standards which will enable highly reusable and easily maintainable code. Collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including business subject-matter-experts and Solution & Data Architects is required to successfully build processes that ingest system’s data and provide consistent, clean and accurate enterprise data across GE.
Accountable to handle multiple simultaneous projects across global GE businesses to drive critical initiatives representing the key Finance functional areas and key business processes including GL, AP, AR, PO, Cash, Order Management, Project Accounting, etc.
Provide thought leadership that takes High Level Architecture and Design and translates it into a workable ETL solution.
Responsible for capacity planning to forecast future needs while managing risk and uncertainty for the team.
Accountable for the quality and timeliness of ingested data, adhering to a standardized framework, architecture reviews, change and release management, and operations handover for every source system loaded into the lake, including monitoring and remediation of issues.
Maintain a strong understanding of existing and upcoming ingestion technology (e.g. Talend/HVR, Kafka, Sqoop), drive innovation in the space, execute proof of concepts and oversee the roadmap, implementation and operational support of such technology.
Creates a culture of customer focus and high performance to drive innovation through continuous customer engagement to facilitate appropriate data technology and services.
Provide leadership, inspiration and guidance to a growing team; foster a culture of transparency, collaboration and innovation; hire and retain exceptional talent.
Responsible for financials and people management activities including budget, technology planning and sourcing, vendor management, recruiting, performance management and compensation. Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or in a quantitative field or equivalent
8+ years of experience working in Information TechnologyEligibility Requirements:

Must be willing to work out of an office located in Cincinnati, OH Desired Characteristics:
Previous experience with Oracle/SAP ERP implementations
Experience in storage technology such as GreenPlum, Hadoop and Cassandra
Familiarity with cloud platform technologies like CloudFoundry
Strong influencing and executive communication skills
Demonstrated ability to lead and work in a matrix organization structure
Highly self-motivated, able to work independently and accommodate multiple time zones
Bias towards action, able to maintain focus on priorities in a complex environment
Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt Certification a plus
Proven experience with data ingestion tools like Talend, Informatica, Spark stream & HVR
Hands-on experience managing Agile projects
Familiarity with Big Data technologies like Pivotal Greenplum, HDFS
