Lead Manager - Materials

Work strategically to drive physical and systematic changes in the material flow process by deploying Lean / Six Sigma methodology. Work with global materials team to drive best practices and system utilization. Drive key projects focused on improving key metrics such as customer-on-time delivery and inventory turns. Potential projects include deployment of various ASCP tools such as Inventory Optimization, Distribution Planning, and Production Scheduler.
Key responsibilities include:
Deploy Lean and Six-Sigma methodology to simplify and improve material planning.
Drive for continuous improvement and implement best practices across global materials team.
Exhibit leadership and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization including senior leadership.
Lead key materials projects to improve the overall effectiveness of the GE Healthcare ERP system.
Establish and maintain a team environment.
Provide leadership and coaching to global materials team.
Quality Specific Goals:
Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years supply chain experience or HS diploma and 6 years supply chain experience
Proven ability to drive change initiatives in a matrix environment
Ability to successfully motivate and maintain employee involvement while driving change
Demonstrated troubleshooting, analytical and planning skills
Demonstrated strong communication skills (written and verbal) to all levels of the organization
Proven Oracle knowledge and experience

Certified six sigma green/black belt
Lean manufacturing experience
MBA or Master’s Degree
