GE Aerospace LM6000 Advanced Lead Design Engineer in Warsaw, Poland
Job Description Summary
GE Aerospace runs in Warsaw one of the biggest engineering centers in Europe. Our site hires over 1200 people who deal with the greatest challenges of modern aviation.
The position is related with responsibility for executing all activities associated with repair development of LM6000 cold/hot components: preparation, drafting & substantiation of repair procedures, answering customer inquires, communication with repair shops.
On this position you will have opportunity to gain broad experience working on different engine modules: Low & high pressure compressor, turbine and components: rotors, structures & airfoils. Being in the LM6000 cold section, you will support both cold & hot part of the LM6000 engine.
Job Description
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
The Advanced Lead Engineer demonstrates leadership & accountability in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned individual and team projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
Provide technical leadership to personnel/ cross functional teams supporting the assigned project, mentor less experienced engineers
Lead or participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
Recommend, with guidance, the approach to meet the technical and program requirements
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned project and/or tasks consistent with engineering polices and procedures.
Qualifications / Requirements:
MSc/BSc in Engineering
Significant experience relevant to indicated position area of expertise
