In this role, you will be part of GE Power GSCM Hungary IT BI team and responsible for execution of BI projects and major enhancements, working closely with local and global business partners and ERP teams. You will support the local manufacturing team’s productivity with improved processes and analytics. Will be responsible for wing-to-wing infrastructure project management, delivery of technical/functional enhancements with a keen focus on regulatory compliance, quality, schedule and budget.
Work closely with the BI and ERP project leaders, global and local IT and functional teams to deliver projects on-time, budget and quality.
Drive solution identification, feasibility analysis and implementation for approved BI projects.
Support the preparation of long term BI plans and Datawarehouse concepts and assure that they are in line with business objectives.
Monitor vendor team performance and ensure continuous improvement.
Work on local and global business synergies, best practice sharing and process simplification improving the existing BI solutions.
Ensure necessary services and infrastructures are available and run in line with required service levels.
Periodically review, benchmark, communicate and enhance service levels with other sites, GE Businesses
Work as a business partner with IT and functional teams, help to evaluate and improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions.
Maintain current knowledge of information technologies that are applicable to business objectives.
Organize regular end user involvement and trainings to be expert in BI solutions.
Play a key role as an IT champion on EHS field and influence others to strictly follow and proactively play by the EHS rules.
Immediately report the incidents and near misses to the direct reports and EHS department.
Immediately shut down the operation when realized life or serious injury risk present.

BS or BA degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business or related field or relevant experience
Strong experience in BI / DWH area, deep understanding of ERP systems (preferably Oracle)
Experience with reporting and analysis tools (Business Objects, Tableau, Cognos)
Strong SQL and analytical skills
Experience of major databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server and/or MySQL)
Excellent communication skills, fluent English, Hungarian is must
Ability to work with remote and 3rd party teams to drive rollouts
Advanced level of computer technology (Servers, Database, Virtualization, Application development, etc.)
Change Management methodologies and ITIL experience
Passion for learning new technologies and eagerness to collaborate across teams to drive best solutions
Ability to hit tight deadlines and work under pressure
Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive
Experience with working in diverse, matrix, and remote teams
