GE announced they signed a definitive agreement to sell the Water & Process Technologies business to SUEZ, a services and solutions company with global operations primarily in water and waste management. The deal will be subject to customary closing conditions such as regulatory review and appropriate consultation and we expect this to be complete by mid-2017. Water & Process Technologies will operate business as usual through this process and will continue to meet its commitments to its valued customers and employees. This includes hiring strong talent to help the business grow and be successful. GE is targeting to complete the sale of the business by mid-2017.

Responsibility for the development of sales throughout the Nordic Region, reporting to the regional Sales Leader. Lead Sales Manager (Nordic Region) demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within your functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Develop growth strategies and action plans to the extent of their sales responsibilities and in line with the company’s products, capabilities and expectations.
Provide accurate sales and revenue forecast as demanded by the organization/Regional Sales Leader.
Develop a pipeline of well-qualified projects in the area, which will provide short, medium and long-term success.
Development of the region across the GE Water portfolio & solutions by supporting associated consultancies, engineering contractors, municipalities and industry.
Understand customers’ needs, qualify leads, and work closely with Engineering and Commercial Operations to provide competitive solutions to customers.
Provide prompt and responsive service to clients.
Interface with Commercial Engineering and Product Management to leverage their expertise to create value proposition for customer. Specific focus will be on Industrial water and wastewater treatment and reuse markets.
Establish proper visibility of our products by attending appropriate technical conferences, writing and delivering technical papers, etc.
Support companies new products launch campaigns and gather market information for companies’ new developments;
Assist in the collection efforts up to their sales responsibilities extents;
Adhering to all internal procedures and tools related to risk review stages and bid preparation, forecasting;
Assisting Project Managers and Project Engineers in the preparation of biding/execution hand-over procedures;
Metrics. There will be an agreed target Orders, Convertible Revenue and Cash for the regional market. The sales manager incentive program will be applied to incentivize and drive performance.
Travel. It is expected that the successful applicant will travel approximately 2-3 weeks a month, depending on employment location.

The geographic area covered will be the Nordic Countries. Involvement in other countries (i.e, global basis) will be occasionally required as key European accounts trigger global initiatives.
Native in minimum one of the Nordic language and at least fluent in a second one. Fluent in English language.
Bachelor engineering degree from an accredited university or college.
Strong influencing and team building skills and ability to work in a matrixed organization
Experience in water/wastewater treatment industry within Sales, Product Management, Technical Marketing, Engineering and/or Field Sales.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the water & wastewater sector with the hunger and drive to succeed in this challenging role
The candidate must have extensive experience within the Nordics market, preferably with an established network of industry contacts
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to influence others and lead small teams. Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
