Role Summary:

In the CAD-CAE Application Engineer role you will be responsible for developing applications and related processes in support of the Model Based Digital Thread and Brilliant Factory initiatives within Industrial Solutions.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the CAD-CAE Application Engineer, you will:

  • Develop Model Based Definition (MBD) and Digital Thread roadmaps leveraging 3D design data with downstream functions and systems

  • Conduct gap analyses and develop improvement plans maximizing engineering productivity

  • Collaborate with internal users and software providers to identify process improvement opportunities

  • Establish standardized processes and procedures fully leveraging integrated Creo / Windchill functionality

  • Develop and drive best practices across the organization

  • Provide global user support including troubleshooting and issue resolution as required

  • Determine root cause and implement corrective actions for process / system related deficiencies

  • Develop a CAD proficiency program including training requirements and content

  • Maintain industry awareness of software development and innovation

  • Execute activities in conjunction with Information Technology team and other functions as applicable

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering discipline

  • Very Strong / Major experience in Pro/E, Wildfire, Creo experience

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT:

  • Fluency in English and Italian / Spanish

  • EU Work Permit

Desired Characteristics:

  • Windchill PLM product suite experience highly preferred

  • ANSYS and Cadence Allegro experience

  • Knowledge of CAD to CAM processes

  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) exposure

  • Working experience with design and manufacturing processes

  • Ability to influence change, guide, and lead others not in a direct reporting relationship

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and work within global, cross-functional teams

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Initiative and perseverance
