Role Summary:

The Staff Software Engineer will be reporting into Digital Connect and is responsible for the analysis, design & development activities of contemporary Applications and Solutions to enable business process and products for the Enterprise. The programming languages include Java, GO, Python, Java script, php, .net and C# and some product development experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the software developer for a product.

  • Own the design & development activities for related to a product.

  • Responsible for managing all the deliverables in the Product development life cycle such as requirements, specification, high level/detail design, source code development, test data etc.

  • Submit and manage the change controls required for code deployment in various environments.

  • Participate in design & code review activities, guide development teams.

  • Provide Level 3 support to operations teams to maintain the platform vitality.

  • Participate in the EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) governance activities.

  • Coordinates and facilitates design/development related discussions.

  • Works closely with business and technical teams on the projects, from initial analysis through implementation and transition to production support teams.

  • Understands and ensures adherence to the Development governance processes, standards. Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years IT development experienceEligibility Requirements

  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Van Buren Township, MI Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience with designing and developing products/applications using one of the following languages - Java, Python, GO, Java script, php, .net and C# based on user specifications, while adhering to the software development lifecycle

  • Experience in Developing for various operating systems like Linux/Unix and Windows.

  • Experience in integrating with one or more complex ERP systems.

  • Experience in working with global distributed development teams, in different time zones.

  • Experience with process quality methodology

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Analytic, creative and business-focused problem solver

  • Drive to learn new technology and build in-depth expertise

  • Self-organization and time management skills

  • Ability to lead design/development tasks and work across multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience in networking and GO Language development. Any product administration upgrade, patching, installation experience.

  • Experience/knowledge of developing for cloud systems like AWS, Azure is a plus.

  • Experience with working on Cloud platforms like Predix, AWS, IBM Bluemix, Heroku, Google Cloud etc.

  • Experience with CI/CD products like Jenkins and Chef.

  • Experience with FDA qualification/validation processes for IT
