Role Summary/Purpose

Member of a high-performance EPM Hyperion Infrastructure team supporting Hyperion private cloud and Oracle Exalytics environments providing a GE wide Platform-as-a-Service. Works with application teams, functional teams and peers to seamlessly integrate assigned deliverables into strategic objectives. Will lead and assist with the installation, configuration and operations of multiple Hyperion EPM environments.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead and work alongside other Hyperion support and development personnel on the Corporate EPM Shared Services team.

  • Lead the requirements definition and architectural design for new EPM environments and/or scaling existing tools and solutions for the simplification and large scale management across the entire environment.

  • Provide coaching, mentoring and direction to less senior members of the EPM platform-as-a-Service team.

  • Act as a key escalation point for infrastructure operational issues and questions and provide leadership for resolving complex technical issues.

  • Partner with business & regional leaders to understand and ensure EPM infrastructure RTS SLAs are met.

  • Work closely with multiple application teams to communicate status, establish appropriate automation and monitoring capabilities as well as disaster recovery and failover capabilities.

  • Keep abreast of new tools and technologies while taking part in the evaluation and recommendations for new or enhanced capabilities that could improve current platforms.

  • Develop technical standards, documentation and knowledge transfer for operational support including the coordination of knowledge transfer to other team members.

  • Utilize tools such as Atomic V11 as well as leverage monitoring tools (OEM, Accelatis) to automate tasks and maintain platform health.

  • Complete root cause analysis of defects and implement controls to mitigate repetitive issues.

  • Drive adherence to Financial & IT Compliance Enterprise Standards.

  • Promote the company culture by encouraging open communication, teamwork and living of the GE Beliefs.

  • Understands, promotes and adheres to security and SOX/ISO/CBI compliance policies and process.

  • Develop peer, cross-functional and cross-GE Business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness.

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, Finance or other technical related fields (OR a minimum 10 years of relevant work experience).

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Information Technology delivering high impact technology solutions.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience with Hyperion system 9 and/or 11 experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of hands on Hyperion infrastructure experience.

  • Minimum of 2-year of experience with Cloud/Virtual environments.

  • Hyperion application experience with: HFM, Essbase, Planning, FDMEE, ODI, DRM.

  • Strong networking (IP, LDAP, VDS) background desired.

  • Experience and detailed operating system and scripting knowledge for Windows, UNIX/LINUX, and Solaris.

  • Experience with Oracle dB, Weblogic, Apache, JAVA.

  • Strong analytical and strong problem solving skills - communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions.

  • Experience and knowledge with Oracle Exalytics infrastructure environment strongly desired.

  • Experience with Accelatis desired. Experience with Automic UC4 desired.

  • Sarbanes Oxley (SoX) experience.

  • EPM certificate desired.

  • Black Belt or Green Belt Certified (GE Employees Only).

  • Knowledge of GE standard IT platforms and tools a plus: ServiceNow, IDM, SupportCentral.
