Role Summary:

The Consumer Senior Account Manager will have consumer lighting sales responsibility for covering key regional customers in the Food and Drug channel.

Essential Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities Include :

  • Gathers market intelligence and competitive information to understand overall market conditions

  • Understands how to leverage data to help guide creation of commercial growth strategies

  • Develops clear and concise value propositions from the customer's perspective that address client needs and maximize impact on GE's business goals

  • Gains an in depth understanding of customer needs through interactions with clients and others across the GE organization

  • Makes informed business decisions and recommendations based on thorough analysis of customer, competitor, and market knowledge

  • Demonstrates effective selling skills with an emphasis on outcome selling techniques (includes development of outcome mindset using outcome mapping and outcome-based research to change how we approach competitive intelligence) and presenting concepts in an outcome-focused format

  • Customer promotional planning and execution of national marketing initiatives

  • Develops clear and concise value propositions from the customer's perspective that address client needs and maximize impact on GE's business goals

  • Leads Quarterly forecasting and estimates for assigned accounts

  • Resolves customer claims and disputes

  • Maintains customer product listings, coordinate planogram resets and oversee implementation

  • Collaborates in a transparent manner to build strategic relationships and achieve common goals with internal resources such as Marketing, Product Management and Supply Chain

  • Manages and attend all customer required meetings

  • PLEASE NOTE : Location is open to the Southeast region.* This position covers accounts in the TN, FL and NC areas; Other locations may be considered Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field from an accredited University or College

  • Minimum of 7 years of sales experience ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :

  • Willingness and ability to travel (mostly by car) up to 50% of the time

  • PLEASE NOTE : Location is open to the Southeast region.* This position covers accounts in the TN, FL and NC areas ; Other locations may be considered Desired Characteristics:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited University or College

  • Minimum of 7 years of sales experience preferably in Consumer goods or related field

  • Previous Consumer Lighting Sales experience or experience in Marketing

  • Green Belt certified

  • Motivated self-starter, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to think strategically

  • Strong presentation, PC and negotiation skills

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly customer centric, service oriented with the ability to execute and deliver sales growth and identify new product opportunities

  • Individual must be a strategic thinker who knows how to go to market and comfortable selling and troubleshooting technical products
