General Electric UPS Test Engineer in Shanghai, China

Role Summary:

Develop HW and SW for UPS production test systems and ensure the products are tested according to the specification.

Cooperate with R&D team in development, installation and maintenance of PT, PPT and FT test equipment’s for his plant.

Develop and maintain all PCBA test systems used in UPS

Develop and maintain all test systems at UPS contract manufacturers locations (India, China)

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Verify products are tested and pass test only when they meet specification of the test system

  • Guarantee all related test activities in a timely manner

  • Diagnose and solve problem, when product does not pass test. Technology to support in difficult situations

  • Has the authority to accept or reject products at final test after R&D approval.

  • Develop and upgrade existing test systems and “nail beds” adapters

  • Support all contract manufacturers for any adaptation, repair or troubleshooting of test systems they use from GE


  • Relevant practical experience in working with the following programs: (Word, Excel, Access), LabView, Labwindows CVI, Visual Basic, C, Assembler and CAD

  • 5+ experience in Electronics Testing is required. Previous UPS experience is preferred..

  • Knowledge of acquisition, management and generation analog as well as digital signals

  • Bachelor or above, Electronics Engineering, graduated from “211” universities will be preferred.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (both English and Mandarin)

  • Teamwork, self-driven, Strong logical sense, and practical ability

  • Green belt or Six Sigma experience is an advantage.
