Role Summary/Purpose

As the Senior Control Engineering in the Control Systems Technology, you will be responsible for

driving customer fulfillment excellence (OTR), working across a global technology team focused

on controls new unit fulfillment from order inquiry through commercial plant operation.

Essential Responsibilities

This engineering role, in addition to closely collaborating with our internal & external

customers, is critical in driving a team culture of technical system & domain depth,

contemporary leadership, on-time quality execution and strong customer-focused mindset. You

will be exposed to all aspects of the control of power plant systems – application software, controls

hardware and networking. You will need to understand the entire control system as well as the

fundamentals of turbine and plant operation and how those fundamentals interact with the control

system to deliver optimum value to the customer; and be able to provide guidance to the less

experienced engineers.

As the Senior Control Engineering, you will:

Lead a global team of controls and simulation engineers through the requisition, design, structuring,

validation and commissioning of control systems for HRSG and critical BOP

•Participate in control software development in ToolboxST and HMI screen development in

Cimplicity

• Design and code plant wide control features including customization of

plant load control and autosequence

•Ensure control system design meets all customer requirements and all controllers are well integrated

•Provide direction for assuring design execution, quality and cycle efficiency to meet the project schedule

•Collaborate with Controls Global Design Leaders (GDL) and Technical Leaders (TLs) including technical support when needed in customer meetings

• Partner with New Product Introduction teams to establish structure that enables smooth transition of new designs

into fulfillment to enable flawless and timely execution

•Drive strong sense of ownership, accountability and urgency within the team in meeting critical business metrics, including - Process Change Orders, On Time Deliverables, Drawings revisions, Request For Info, Power Answer Center, Customer Issue Resolution, Safety, Quality Management System,

Compliance and on time plant commercial operations

•Own and execute on deliverables to create value for our customers and present one integrated controls’

solution

• Drive regulatory compliance rigor and maintain "No excuses" leadership

culture with integrity and Environmental Health & Safety

•Lead/support Software

Qualifications/Requirements

•Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related Engineering from an accredited

university or college

•Minimum of 7 years of experience in a controls engineering position
