Role Summary:

The User Experience Intern position offers people with a passion for design and user experience an opportunity to grow their leadership skills, business acumen and design abilities, while building a career with unlimited potential.

Interns learn by doing: gaining real-world experience by working on important and challenging projects alongside some of the brightest designers and technical minds in the world.

Essential Responsibilities:

Intern assignments and projects are tied to GE Digital’s key Predix UX initiatives.

In this role you will:

  • Contribute across one or more projects as assigned in a cross-functional environment.

  • Demonstrate a strong ability to further develop and learn user experience capabilities and methodologies.

  • Assist with the effective documentation and communication of design - via wireframes, mockups, and requirements engineering

  • Stay up to date on current and emerging design, technology, industry, and market trends

Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be an undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D. student enrolled in an accredited college or university.

  • Undergraduates must have completed sophomore year at start of intern assignment.

  • Pursuing a degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction or in “STEAM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art + Design, Math)

  • Established strong academic performance (3.0/4.0 GPA or better).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job

  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon, CA

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
