The UX Interaction Designer has a focus on Interaction Design, and responsibilities to drive the user experience strategy for next-generation solutions within the GE Predix user experience. The candidate will contribute to the effective documentation and communication of design - via user analysis, workflows, wireframes, and prototypes.

In this role, you will:
Leads the evaluation and adoption of emerging design,technology, industry, and market trends.
Directly contributes to strategic decision-making for UX andinfluences senior leaders (EB, SEB). • Works with cross functional teams andcross-business teams and is responsible for driving broad-reaching solutionsacross the function / business.
Influences change through others and begins to set a visionfor future change; evangelizes the practice of interaction design to GEbusiness leaders.
Participate in design validation sessions with users andstakeholders to reveal deep insights about user and business needs, as input tothe design process.
Use storyboards/narrative/wireframes of varying fidelity toexpress how a product or service should behave to deliver capabilities in a waythat supports user needs, goals, and workflows.
Create annotated design artifacts such as wireframes of userinterface designs that visually and textually communicate the behavior of asoftware application.
Facilitate user experience design collaborations withindividuals and teams from other disciplines. Multitask and manage the designof solutions in a cross-functional and global organization, in an Agileenvironment. Be a part of a scrum teamsupporting project timeline from a UX deliverables perspective.
Develop project plans for UX projects, facilitate thediscovery phase of projects – Report on project status, issues, and risks.Identify and mitigate UX risks on projects.
Interface with UI implementation teams to ensure correctrealization of UI prototypes.
Guide effective documentation and communication of design –via wireframes, mockups, and user stories.
Work with product owners across the businesses to understandmarket needs & vision; work with teams to quickly translate that visioninto UX designs for software.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of Agile / Lean UXmethodologies.
Understands key principles of design thinking, what it isand why it is important. Explores all ideas, regardless of their source.
Understands the existing architecture of our application andour design system. Partner with the technical team to understand the technicalboundaries impact on design.
Bachelor’s Degree in Interaction, Graphic, or IndustrialDesign preferred or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, andMath)
A minimum of 10+ years of professional experience
