The VP - Global Services, COE will be an analytical, big picture thinker who is driven to enhance and further the mission of the organization by leveraging technology. This executive will serve as a true leader and will drive the GED strategy to create value across the organization and for its clients.
The successful candidate is a well-rounded, sophisticated digital industrial professional who is strategic, customer-focused and adaptable, with proven experience leading through technology driven innovation. In addition, you will be responsible for developing and leveraging world-class, process, procedures, and policies throughout software system implementation cycle, be responsible for building and managing a team of process, practice and digital experts throughout the world who will research, develop and implement best in class methodologies in their area of expertise and provide governance and operational guidance as it relates to the execution of the end-to-end planning process, practices and technology, including the adherence to global planning tools and models.
The ideal candidate will be a Services industry professional with a broad business orientation and key competencies including strategic thought, project management, software development, partnership development, analytical capability, and pragmatic execution.
As the VP Global Services, COE you will:
Develop short-and long-term vision and strategic plans for the delivery methodology practice based on, vision, objectives, plans, and operating requirements
Build a customer-service oriented tone and develop a responsive, effective team that keeps the mission of the organization top of mind
Design, Develop and manage new platform & applications service offerings to compliment GE Digital Platform and Product portfolio
Build, maintain, and govern platform & applications for business partners - this may be aligned to a specific market or for business partners directly
Own the engineering, delivery, and operational support (DevOps) of application services platform and application products related services and expertise development for the global GE Digital Global Services organization. These products include application and database server platforms, public cloud offerings, and related technologies including platform automation and management tools development to deliver outcomes for our customers and reduce implementation cycle time.
Build a team of process experts, implementation COE and delivery methodology COE directly responsible for reduced cost and time to value while encouraging and enabling re-use
Create effective partnerships and negotiate advantageous agreements with service providers and hardware/software vendors
Responsible for engaging with Engineering and Development teams to understand product and platform capabilities and work with enablement and education teams to develop content, service offerings and enablement/training material that can be used externally and internally.
Be an interface to Engineering/Product teams into Services organization to keep Platform and Applications delivery teams abreast of new capabilities, tips and tricks, best practices, roadmap and extensibility capabilities.
Create, re-usable standard processes and artifacts that can be leveraged by teams across the globe for customer delivery
Collaborates with other global process, practice leaders and regional leaders, understanding end to end integrated processes and how to drive business value
Ensures that global, regional and business needs are recognized, prioritized, and supported
Oversee and review the analysis, commentary and presentation material for monthly, quarterly and annual business review meetings with Corporate, P&Ls and Regions
Support all regions, all markets with best-in-class delivery processes, practices and tools
Create an identity for best-in-class digital industrial delivery methodology
Help Design, Develop and deliver new service offerings to compliment GE Digital Platform and Product portfolio working with rest of the GE Digital Global Services team. Qualifications/Requirements:
Help develop business case for proposed service offerings and initiatives, including cost/benefit estimates, market trends, competitive analysis, risk analysis, industry best practices
Design, Develop and maintain templates, artifacts, customer facing content and collateral to help services leaders compete with best in class service delivery organizations.
Responsible for quality of project costing, customer deliverables, pricing and overall health of global implementations. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Minimum 10 years of development or implementation experience including on-site and remote teams for Platform and Applications products
5 years’ experience in global process redesign for services/implementation methodology
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience

Global leadership experience in the Energy, Aviation, Transportation, and/or Manufacturing markets
Experience delivering shared technology services in a large, global, matrixed environment
Experience in delivering industrial platforms or horizontal software middleware
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
Experience driving and executing cloud and digital technology strategies
Masters' degree or MBA
Influential and collaborative leadership with the ability to partner, inspire, and build consensus.
Experience leading large scale organizational change and successfully managing through business transformation
Experience in Cloud operations either as part of a cloud service provider or cloud operations in a large forward looking global enterprise
Proven ability to execute high-profile projects and to provide thought leadership to an organization.
Proven track record working with technical, customer, and functional teams
Passionate about technology with the pragmatism necessary to solve customer problems and deliver value
Ability to identify new approaches to complex design problems (federated identity, complex event processing, embedded real-time and cooperating ecosystems, etc.)
Ability to influence non-technical aspects of technology change (e.g. business and operational architectures)
Hands-on experience in multi-generation technology planning, convergence and rationalization
Strong at teaching, coaching and mentoring engineers and other functions
Strong verbal presentation and written communication skills
