Role Summary:

Our new VP, Ecosystem Partnerships – SAP, will be responsible for one of GE’s top strategic technology relationships driving the growth of GE and GE Digital. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the GE–SAP Go-To-Market relationship, driving the joint business plan and all executive engagements, including C-level and up to CEO.

Essential Responsibilities:

This is the opportunity to manage the long-term and the tactical collaboration roadmaps in partnership with various stakeholders, evolving and strengthening the partnership over the next 18 – 24 month timeframe. Working closely and collaboratively with other GE Business Unit sales teams and the SAP teams to create joint selling strategies and tactics for key industrial domains will be essential.

In addition, as our new VP, Ecosystem Partnerships – SAP you will:

  • Own all executive engagements between GE and SAP, including C-level and up to the CEOs

  • Develop and execute a joint Go-To-Market plan with SAP.

  • Work with SAP to build and manage the joint business plan to develop a significant products and services portfolio combining GE capabilities and SAP products and technologies.

  • Ensure extensive cross-organization collaboration and play a crucial role in interfacing with various technology teams and business stakeholders across Product Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Ecosystem and GE Business Unit digital teams to drive a unified approach to the partnership.

  • Develop, negotiate, agree and publish key targets for joint GTM, application royalties, orders and joint customer wins.

  • Deepen and successfully monetize existing partnerships and capabilities. Increase awareness, market leadership and sales of existing joint solutions, and drive the roadmap for future joint solutions driven by market demand.

  • Work with Partner Marketing teams at both companies to build marketplace awareness for our joint solutions.

  • Own the overall program and scorecard for the GE–SAP Alliance.

  • Provide exceptional leadership to a rapidly growing team and capitalize on GE Digital extraordinary growth; attract and retain exceptional talent, continuing to raise our capabilities.

  • Establish indisputable market leadership to gain effective visibility in the industry to ensure that GE Digital is “top of mind” with potential business and strategic partners.

  • Build out Alliance financial and economic models, including localized pricing, revenue share and other commercial models for maximizing value to GE Digital.

  • Develop and maintain systems and processes that provide genuine visibility and accurately forecast results and opportunities, as well as provide quantitative and qualitative input for strategic decisions.

  • Negotiate and close large-scale deals that create win-win-win for the Customers, GE and SAP.Year One Success

  • Establish strong relationships with key executive stakeholders at GE and SAP

  • Drive commercial success of the joint solution in the marketplace.

  • Build business case and opportunity pipeline for the first $50M joint sales in partnership with SAP and GE Business Unit sales teams.

  • Manage rollout and execution of the joint Go-To-Market strategy in conjunction with SAP field teams.

  • Develop and manage a 18 month joint capability roadmap.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of professional experience with a combination of VP level technology and business experience, including:

  • 7+ years successfully building and leading world-class, global, revenue generating partnerships.

  • 5+ years of proven expertise and relationships with both managing Ecosystem partnerships with Fortune 50 companies and creating major strategic deals with global strategic partners from first call to signed contract,

  • 7+ years of hands-on technical experience leading software engineering efforts around SaaS and PaaS products/ solutions.

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required and STEM discipline is highly preferred.
