Role Summary/Purpose

•Point of contact for EHS-related projects matters,coach &support the Site EHS Manager &perform EHS duties at project management level

•Dealing w/ Customer/Partner’s projects EHS representative for projects specific EHS-related matters

•Join periodic meetings organized by their OTR Region EHS Leader,Global Project EHS leader & OneEHS regional Project & Service teams

•Involve in overall GPS Projects EHS auditing program

•Focal point of ITO/OTR handover for EHS related matters

Essential Responsibilities

• Be the EHS point of contact for the projects team (all)

• Liaise with customer, partner if any, and subcontractors’ representatives at projects level (all)

• Identification, hiring if needed, training and mobilization of site EHS staff (EEP, TKP, TKSI)

• Providing access to and training of relevant site staff on Gensuite and MTA modules to be used on the projects, after creation of the department / sub-department in the relevant Gensuite GPS Projects regional site and activation of such modules when needed. Ensure suitable use of applicable Gensuite and MTA modules for accurate reporting and supporting of EHS processes. (all)

• Prepare periodic projects EHS reporting / KPIs and communicate it to relevant distribution list (TKP, TKSI)

• Prepare with the Projects Director / Projects Manager the project-specific hazard heat map and relevant associated strength of defenses matrix when relevant (all)

• Prepare the first issuance of the required project-specific EHS documentation, including but not limited to site EHS plan, environmental management plan, emergency response plan and traffic management plan, considering legal (including permits) and contractual requirements, as well as other defenses required based on the project-specific hazard heat map. Review such documents prepared by the partner in case of a TKP project. For such preparation the Project EHS Manager shall receive input or seek advice from legal experts. (TKP, TKSI)

• Support the project team in preparing the relevant EHS plan (EO, EEP)

• Ensure applicable legal requirements have been properly identified and are complied with (all)

• Lead projects EHS kick-off meeting with partner if any. (TKP, TKSI)

• Develop effective projects EHS communication mechanism. (all)

• Perform the initial review of the site EHS action plan to be deployed at projects start. Establish and assign further EHS actions for continuous improvement at site whenever required.

• Perform the onboarding process of new Site EHS Managers

• Follow-up with the GE Site EHS Manager on the deployment and maintenance of a consistent site EHS management at site where GE is leading the site. Track and support deployment of any EHS initiative or changes in the EHS requirements for the projects and actively support the projects to achieve EHS excellence. (TKP, TKSI)

• Review Commissioning Safety Rule / LoTo procedures prepared by Partner or EPC contractor (EEP, TKP))

• Perform the EHS portion of the pre-mobilization checklist for field service staff assigned to a new project (all)

• Provide continuous support and mentoring to the site EHS manager, including periodic planned calls (monthly as a minimum) (EEP, TKP, TKSI)

• Perform project internal EHS audits according to the P&L EHS audit strategy (all)

• Support the Project Engineering Manager in his duties of ensuring safe design of the plant/systems delivered by GE (EEP, TKP, TKSI)

• Deliver face-to-face EHS trainings as and when required according to the OTR EHS training strategy (all)

• Closely follow-up or be involved in EHS event analysis for level A, B or PSE EHS events (all)

• Ensure ERS inputs provision when relevant and suitable project EHS close-out for lessons-learned and continuous improvement (all)

• Assess yearly the EHS performance of every active partner by completing the EHS partner rating scorecard (TKP)

• Overall control of project EHS budget (TKP, TKSI)


•Bachelor/Master’s degree in a relevant area from an accredited college or university

• Significant EHS experience with demonstrated growth over roles of increasing responsibility

• Process orientation and ability to continuously drive improvement

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Experience in working across a broad ecosystem of stakeholders to manage change and deliver results

• Demonstrated ability to message / communicate effectively to many stakeholders, including Senior Leadership
