Job Description Summary

The Module Integration Leader is the connection between Systems, Design, Production Technologies, Fleet, Repair, CTP, MCRB, TSD and MRO Network focused on services profitability, manufacturing support as well as field issues resolution. Serves as primary technical expert for a given module, protects its integrity and drives significant technical issues to resolution.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Module integration: Defines, optimizes, and manages intra-module, and inter-module interfaces and interactions. Including engine level sickbay or MRB support. Mentorship of less experienced engineers & owner of pitcher-catcher knowledge transitions and documentation of design decisions/trades within module.

  • CSA projects leadership and execution: Collaboration with overhaul and component repair shops. Module cost management & biz case preparation support in collaboration with repair and MCRB module cost leaders.

  • Coordinates rapid communication of issues (mfg, QEM, field findings, safety issues,…) between LCE and PT and ensures the transition of product knowledge between both teams.

  • Field issues resolution guidance and support including leadership for root cause investigations.

  • Owns technical management of Cl-I design changes and quality of tech review/PCB inputs.

  • Responsible of System Module requirements and sub-modules/components CTQs proper flow-down.

Qualification/Requirements

  • Aeronautical or mechanical engineering degree from an accredited university or college

  • Knowledge of turbine modules and components

  • Fluent written and spoken English

  • Willingness to directly interact with several internal and external customers: hold meetings, lead activities focusing on targets

  • Ability to sort through information and make timely and sound decisions

  • Able to prioritize work, and communicate openly in stressful situations

  • Work VISA, according to local regulation, is required

  • travel availability required

  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of aeronautical Certification rules, ie EASA Part 21 and Part 145

  • Experience in services engineering department

  • Systems Integration

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Problem Solving

  • Knowledge of Avio Aero and GE Aviation processes, tools and procedures
