Role Summary:

As the Materials Planning and Execution Specialist you will coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Materials Planning and Execution Specialist, you will:

  • Execute planning and scheduling activities for assigned part numbers using Oracle ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) planning system

  • Identify and react to material plans that do not meet customer requirements

  • Release material plan requirements to manufacturing sources

  • Be responsible for inventory management for assigned parts and processes required to ensure material input to support customer requirements while financial inventory objectives are accomplished

  • Interface with routing center to optimize transportation cycles and cost

  • Monitor supply and demand misalignment, and collaborate with manufacturing sources to implement corrective action plans

  • Interact with first and second shift Ops Leads to resolve emergency shortage issues

  • Coordinate planning and scheduling activities for assigned commodity utilizing planning tools to model, simulate and release optimized material plans to the organization

  • Participate in configuration reviews and track changes through completion to ensure accurate Bills of Material

  • Communicate changes to Cell to ensure accurate assembly

  • Coordinating with Cell Leaders to ensure material delivery matches Cell Build Plan

  • Periodically attend Cell team meetings and production toolbox talks to answer questions and provide feedback as required

  • Conduct periodic work station audits as assigned

  • Participate in warehouse cycle counts

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in the wind energy industry
