Role Summary/Purpose

This role will will be supporting the Test Enabling Hardware team as a Technician by conducting the following essential tasks :

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform periodic inspections on Test Enabling Hardware including preparation for Florescent Penetrate inspection and Liquid Crystal

  • Complete engine mount beam setup / teardown including production and special development test setup

  • Assist configuration change efforts for test requirements on Test Enabling Hardware

  • Assist Modifications / Upgrades / Inspections requirements for new / legacy hardware

  • Assist fabrication / repairs of test equipment

  • Organize and implement tasks in a self-directed manner

  • Proficient in computer skills

  • Responsible for performing tasks in a timely, quality focused manner

  • Maintain effective training / communications with customers, support organizations and team members

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience in shop operations / manufacturing)

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Desired Characteristics

  • Previous experience in Test Enabling Systems including, Strut / Mount beam, bleed, inlet & cowling systems for GE90, GEnx, CF6, CFM56, LEAP, Passport20, and CF34 families of engines

  • Working knowledge of Maximo

  • Familiarization of FPI, Liquid Crystal inspection requirements for hardware

  • Knowledge of Peebles testing processes and plant workflow

  • Strong multi-tasking / self directed skills

  • Digital workbench / print reading proficiency

  • Customer oriented focused desired

  • Strong mechanical skills and familiarization of pneumatic and hydraulic systems

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively
