Role Summary/Purpose

The position will lead the CSR agenda for the green field project in Bihar at the business level. Under the guidance of the GE Group CSR Leader, South Asia, the staff will support in the delivery of CSR goals and objectives of GE Locomotive, performing a variety of operational and project activities ensuring high quality of work. He/She will work in close collaboration with the site operations, local community, headquarters, NGOs and external parties.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assisting in Implementation of CSR strategy at Marhaura, Saran District, Bihar

Assist in framing strategy and implementation roadmap

Supervision, monitoring and reporting on the programme activities

Assist in developing models of CSR relevant to local needs

Support to building an effective and efficient CSR function

• Communications, knowledge development and sharing

• Operational management : Development of CSR MIS and information management to cover and report on all the programmes in Marhaura

• Management of day to day CSR operational requirements, processes and execution of projects

• Organise as well as participate in meetings, events and gatherings as may be required from time to time

• Participation as well as help organize CSR related trainings, workshops and meetings – internally and externally


• Masters in Social Work or Rural Development

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in all facets of CSR

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Bihar, UP or Jharkhand

• Hands-on work experience on social development projects at the grassroots level, preferably with an NGO or in a government project

• Demonstrated competence of vernacular dialects in Bihar
