Role Summary/Purpose

Customer facing staff responsible for winning business.

Essential Responsibilities

Within a geographic area responsible for selling product(s), services, parts, solutions, or projects. Develops sales plan for a specific region. Products and systems requiring technical knowledge. Some customization to client conditions can be done. Cooperates with (technical) sales support to realize sales. Is leading a department with large estimated orders.

In the role of Lead Sales Specialist – Sales you will:

  • Manage existing clients with focus on continued growth and performance verses operating plan

  • Develop and execute specific account plans for each strategic client

  • Provide accountability to deliver on commitments and communicate progress, needs, and strategies to win in a competitive landscape

  • Perform regular performance management reviews of client business plans including progress in account penetration, opportunity pipeline development, orders growth and identification of target areas for improvement

  • Accurately forecast orders by quarter and year

  • Learn product offerings within GE Bently Nevada / Commtest product portfolio

  • Drive orders and convertibility of orders (sales) to achieve targets and year-over-year growth.

  • Identify and cultivate strategic relationships with clients across multi-layered organizations

  • Support trade shows, vendor days, and client learning sessions by presenting ACM solutions, business cases and other client marketing presentation material

  • Negotiate contracts including commercial terms, pricing and fulfillment of all compliance requirements

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum 9 years of experience in Sales and/or Sales Origination)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales and/or Sales Origination

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time, as required

Desired Characteristics

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales or application engineering experience including a consistent record of successfully achieving growth and orders targets

  • Knowledge and understanding of condition monitoring solutions and geographic region’s client marketplace

  • Understanding of modern maintenance methodologies (PM, PdM, RCM, RBM, RAM, TPM, etc.)

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Large Project / Global Project Sales Methodology

  • Proactive work style and demonstrated, creativity, high energy

  • Excellent sales skills, with the ability to teach, train, and motivate others

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization sales and business discussions

  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver results

  • Self-motivated with a focus on customer satisfaction

  • Excellent problem solving skills with an emphasis on innovative and creative solutions

  • Preferably Six-Sigma Green Belt Certified

  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers, Salesforce.com, and Microsoft applications

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams

  • Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact

  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously

  • Effective problem identification and solution skills

  • Proven analytical and organizational ability
