We presently have an opening for a 2nd shift Welder, working from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
Participate in and support team initiatives; Receive guidance from Level 3 and/or 4 employees.
Cross-train other employees as needed based upon knowledge and experience.
Compliantly complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation.
Communicate with team to ensure all team members are aware of new processes and/or ideas, etc.
Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.
Perform set up of jigs and fixtures; Perform non-structural tack welds.
Perform wire welding functions; Understand and apply basic principles of TIG welding.
Learn introductory principles of heat transfer control.
Perform secondary processing operations including sand blasting, wire brushing, and grinding.
Work toward obtaining certifications for welding inconel & stainless.
Maintain welding equipment torches, coolers, hoses, cables, and other equipment as needed.
Work in compliance to NADCAP requirements,
Must pass review for workmanship, procedure reviews, operator assessment, & refresher training.
Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach.
Apply principles learned within multiple departments as needed. Qualifications/Requirements:
High School Education and/or GED.
Previous manufacturing experience, preferably 1-3 years of experience.
Familiarity with basic weld & fusion principles.
Skill Level Required:
Requires use of basic hand tools and measuring devices (verniers, micrometers, calipers, go-no go gauges, etc.)
Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation
Capable to certify and qualify for 55800 wire certification within 3 weeks, and qualify for 9-487 certification within a period of 90 days training time. Other department specific certifications will apply as applicable.
Strong mechanical aptitude; Proficient in use of basic computer applications.
Visual acuity exam required.
Utilize proper PPE and safety equipment; Other duties as required.Physical Demands:

Previous experience in a self-directed teaming environment
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment & knowledge of weld principles preferred.
