Role Summary/Purpose

This posting is to connect with Quality Managers interested in being considered for a Hiring Event that will be held the first week of February at a GE Aviation location. The event will allow qualified candidates to meet hiring managers face-to-face from across the GE Aviation Supply Chain value stream and interview for Production Quality Manager roles we have available in several locations including:

  • Evendale, OH

  • Hooksett, NH

  • Lynn, MA

  • Newark, DE

  • Rutland, VT

Essential Responsibilities

The Site Quality Leader is responsible for the overall product quality review associated with the manufacturing process for the supply chain operation, including the supplier base. The successful candidate will drive tactical and strategic quality Improvement plans and all the quality related activities and initiatives.


  • Serve as the focal point for Quality with customers, headquarters, regulators and auditors

  • Lead Supplier qualifications and Quality Improvement Plan activities and serve as the liaison between the Supplier company and GE

  • Conduct recruitment, selection, development, and promotion of the Quality team

  • Work cooperatively with the operations team to identify systemic quality issues within the plant and develop robust root cause corrective actions

  • Build solid relationships with key customers and suppliers

  • Ensure customer requirements are evaluated, documented and flowed down properly, and products are validated

  • Supervise activities such as field issues and failures investigations, root cause analyses and implementation of corrective actions

In addition you will:

  • Execute strategies related to quality assurance and quality control of products, services, and manufacturing processes

  • Establish and execute a strategic roadmap for process capability and inspection technology

  • Implement the timely execution of quality simplification and improvement concepts to meet evolving needs

  • Utilize Lean and Six Sigma tools to monitor and drive all process improvement activities

  • Drive preventive and corrective actions to assure product compliance to specifications

  • Drive the GE Aviation Production System elements (QIP and LPR) as needed

  • Partner with the shop leadership to assess the operations needs and develop new solutions based upon precedents in the organizations

  • Work on cross functional teams to cater to the Quality priorities

  • Develop and deliver solutions that enable the team to successfully execute quality initiatives set in the GE Aviation Production System

  • Conduct measurement system analysis


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Production Quality or related Manufacturing field
