Role Summary:

In this strategic account sales position, you will be responsible for engaging with key customers to sell GE Transportation's Port Solutions. You will identify new sales opportunities, manage and solve conflicts with clients and meet deadlines for customer accounts. You will collaborate with GE’s software dev teams and product management in order to drive key activities, including prospecting, strategy planning, executive relationship development, discovery assessment and pilot programs.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Establish a deep understanding of customers’ business needsby creating value to customers for our solution footprint.

  • Add value to the customer’s business and maintain a goaloriented approach to the business partnership.

  • Demonstrate to customers how they benefit by partnering withGE and how our solutions deliver results.

  • Aggressively develop and drive a sustainable commercial andsolution strategy across multiple customer divisions and North America that isaligned to the agreed account goals.

  • Develop and execute an Account Playbook that formalizes the“go high / go low” strategy for the Enterprise account. Where applicable,develop a joint Governance process with executive sponsorship that aligns alongthe following pillars – Commercial, Product/Technology, Implementation andSupport.

  • Leverage the “Big GE” by coordinating across multiple GEdivisions to solve customer challenges and enhance value and loyalty throughthe introduction of GE Corporate programs. (e.g. Industrial Internet, Minds +Machines)

  • Analyzes sales pipeline and maintain an array ofopportunities to ensure that sales goals are achieved.

  • Actively grow and maintain a multi-year account plan thatwill be shared with parts of our business including Marketing, ProductManagement, Sales, Professional Services, and the Development teams to ensurecoordination across the business.

  • Ensuring a Professional Sales Experience for customersduring all aspects of sales process and touch points including: Formal meetingagendas, formal follow-up stating sequence of events and next steps in writing,and issue resolution in a timely fashion.

  • Formulates the winning proposals based on a cohesivestrategy that leverages deep knowledge of industry, customer and GE product.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or relateddiscipline

  • 7-12 years of software industry experience minimum withproven track record

  • Preferred ocean supply chain or maritime experience (ideally3-5 years)

  • Demonstrated understanding of intermodal and multimodaltransportation operations

  • Experience collaborating with Customs Brokers, FreightForwarders, and 3PLs; along with standard transportation carriers (vessel,rail, truck)
