Role Summary/Purpose

We are looking for a Finance & Operations Analyst for IT.

Essential Responsibilities

The role is for an independent, self-driven individual to own and contribute to an effective and transparent governance around the Finance processes and Service Management for GE Distributed Power. The roles requires to interact with global teams and functions, understanding of data analysis and how to use data for decision making. This role will report to the IT Leader.

The role owner will be responsible for:

  • Monitor Financials

  • IT expenses of $22m, with 15+ cost centers, 4 entities.

  • Weekly and monthly reporting

  • Actively work with Finance to review gaps

  • Create Purchase Orders

  • Ensure liquidation on items where agreed (Cost Center move, Internal Billing)

  • Own the data quality in the Finance Tool

  • Manage Budget

  • Create and maintain budget plan

  • Control variances against plans and take action with line owners

  • Follow-up on unknown/unexpected charges

  • Actively create forecasts and take actions to mitigate overruns

  • IT Operations

  • Create scorecards and Service level metrics for applications and operations

  • Facilitate onboarding delivery execution (New users, PC and account request)


  • Preferably commercial education

  • Organizing and communication skills

  • Data-driven , analytical acumen

  • Good written and oral English language knowledge

  • Oracle SSS knowledge (Purchase Module)

  • Experience in BI (Business Intelligence) reporting solutions

According to Austrian law job postings need to include the minimum salary for a position. For this position the minimum salary based on the collective agreement is EURO 2.415,16 gross monthly. Please note that this is the very minimum salary and will most likely be higher. The effective salary is based on the candidate’s Qualification and Experience and will be negotiated accordingly.
