Role Summary/Purpose

We are looking for an Engineer (m/f) Control Systems and Related Components.

Job Reference #2777019.

Design engineer for control system equipment and related components over the whole product lifecycle from the idea generation, component selection or new product development, from introduction to phase-out.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead projects with international partners, apply project management skills, determine project risks and introduce countermeasures while focusing technical, quality and cost targets

  • Working within the electrical hardware engineering team with strong collaboration to other disciplines (i.e. electrical engineering and system design).

  • Continuously communicate with engineering-, production and sourcing departments to ensure efficient project execution

  • Creation of specifications for the procurement of electronic components. Apply related standards, design practices and legal instructions to design compliant products

  • Organization of first piece qualification. Validate products in test labs, at engine test benches and pilot installations at customer sites

  • Provide technical support for product related issues, cost reduction exercises, as well as the technical support of various engines within the field

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Technical higher school, bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical / Controls Engineering

  • Extensive knowledge about PLC systems, IO-systems, industrial bus systems, industrial PC’s and selection of related components

  • Proven project management skills with ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver results on time and budget

  • Experience regarding electrical / electronic component qualification and test techniques

  • Comfortable in an international environment and good oral and written communication skills in both German and English

According to Austrian law job postings need to include the minimum salary for a position. For this position the minimum salary based on the collective agreement is EURO 2.704,41 gross monthly. Please note that this is the very minimum salary and will most likely be higher. The effective salary is based on the candidate’s Qualification and Experience and will be negotiated accordingly.
