Role Summary:

This role will work on digital applications to support the production quality review associated with the manufacturing process for CMC. It requires a developed and strong foundation of functional skills and knowledge of the CMC technologies, as well as the Quality Systems and requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition you will :

  • Work on Brilliant Factory and other IT driven manufacturing systems

  • Collaborate on creating software / hardware based solutions for manufacturing and product quality simplification

  • Develop and deliver solutions that enable the team to successfully execute quality initiatives set in the GE Aviation Production System

  • Specify needs, communicate about project approach, and present outcomes of research done

  • Deliver products as part of a team, work on cross functional teams, and work with business leadership

  • Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods

  • Conduct measurement system analysis

  • Understand and drive quality assurance and quality control of products, services, manufacturing processes and conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.

  • Coordinate technical aspects and lead requisitions

  • Ensure customer requirements are evaluated, documented and flowed down properly, and products are validated

  • Implement the timely execution of quality simplification and improvement concepts to meet evolving needs

  • Coordinate design, project, and system engineers during detailed design, start-up, and warranty administration phases of project

  • Supervise activities such as field issues and failures investigations, root cause analyses and implementation of corrective actions, lessons learned issues and consequently design standard updates

  • Build solid relationships with key customers and suppliers Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, IT or Quality ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :

  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment Desired Characteristics:

  • Six Sigma training / certification

  • Graduate degree from an accredited university, college or institution

  • Experience with Cloud-based applications

  • Digital hardware and digital systems design experience

  • Proven analytical and organizational ability

  • Manufacturing experience in a regulated environment such as Aerospace or Automotive

  • Ability to understand and implement customer and industry standards

  • Ability to engage and build positive relationships with both customers and internal and external employees

  • Strong oral and written communication / presentations skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams

  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously

  • Effective problem identification and solution skills
