Role Summary/Purpose

This NAM OTR, Engineering FP&A Analyst role will support the North America region for the Offshore + Subsea Services (O+S) product company along with supporting the North America Subsea engineering team. The role is a reliable partner to regional and global leaders and demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives.

Essential Responsibilities

In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

In the role of NAM OTR, Engineering FP&A Analyst - Offshore + Subsea Services you will:

  • Partner with the NAM region O+S regional manager, O+S CFO to drive operating performance & process supporting NAM operational team

  • Drive profitable growth by providing analysis of results and identifying & tracking key metrics while advising the leadership team on risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions

  • Lead and communicate in setting up and meeting financial strategy, forecasts and budgets

  • Perform monthly closing of the finances explaining actuals variance to forecast and budgets

  • Perform special analysis of major issues as required and recommend solutions to complex business issues

  • Develop and improve financial processes: Finance reporting tools, Management reporting tools, budgeting and estimating processes

  • Assist with management, FP&A and HQ reporting (P&L), communicate results to managers and other stake holders

  • Identify and implement simplifications and cost savings in Engineering and Product cost

  • Evaluate processes and identify improvements


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting, finance, or cost analysis position

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Desired Characteristics

  • Master's of Business Administration from an accredited college or university is preferred

  • Relevant industry experience from an Oil & Gas business

  • Certified Public Accountant

  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Experience successfully leading cross-functional projects and process improvement within the operations / finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas.

  • Experience leading in a matrixed environment

  • Adaptable / flexible: being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations

  • Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with other

  • PC proficiency
