Role Summary/Purpose

There is a vacancy for a skilled aircraft fitter working within the A350 metallic assembly area. This operator will be expected to manufacture complex aircraft assemblies to customer drawing requirements and specifications. The successful applicant will need to be a time served aircraft fitter having successfully completed an NVQ level 3 in Aeronautical/Mechanical engineering or similar field.

Essential Responsibilities

The skilled aircraft fitter will manufacture a variety of metallic/ composite sub-assemblies whilst ensuring they maintain a safe working environment at all times. They will be expected to use various fitting techniques such as drilling, reaming, honing, electrical bonding and application of sealants and paints. The skilled aircraft fitter will be expected to have an understanding of the various manufacturing techniques and be able to read and interpret drawings, specifications and other engineering documents.

Qualifications/Requirements

• NVQ level 3 or similar qualification in an engineering/manufacturing discipline.

• Have an awareness of quality systems such as FOD prevention

• Have an understanding of EHS

• Be pro-active and work as part of a team

• Basic IT knowledge

• Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.

• Positive approach to problem solving.

• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.

• Indentured qualification
