Role Summary/Purpose

The Services Specialist - General Operations Support will utilize their expertise and technical experience in mechanical, electrical, cell and fiber optics networking for the repair and maintenance of locomotives. In this role you will also facilitate transactions, produce, assemble and deliver replacement / repair parts and equipment as part of a Services Agreement or order.

Essential Responsibilities

In addition you will:

  • Process transactions, manage processes, material management, site operations, or warehouse logistics and shipping which Includes craft and non-craft labor as well as manager roles responsible solely for these activities

  • Coordinate resources to achieve goals with a timely and cost-effective strategy

  • Lead and assist in daily operations

  • Develop, coordinate, lead, and execute daily production plans and coordinate consistent and effective shift-to-shift transition

  • Develop and implement process controls

  • Support operations leader in the strategic planning of manpower, equipment, and other resources

  • Be responsible for major contribution to the development of an operational year plan for department activities of the team

  • Suggest improvements in products, processes and procedures

  • Work together with people from the business unit with the understanding that these contacts are under guidance and / or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues and targeted clients

  • Work on the basis of predefined contracts and frameworks

  • Willing and able to work in a shop environment as needed

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Services

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driver's license

  • Willing and able to travel within North America

  • Willing and able to work various days / various shifts as needed

  • Willing and able to work overtime need as required

  • Proficient in MS office

  • Willing and able to lift 50 lbs
