Role Summary/Purpose

Provide technical support to the customer with regards to predictive analytics and solution implementation. Over and above the day to day responsibilities, the Technical Lead shall support Railroad with equipment diagnosis, as well as provide direction on maintenance and troubleshooting tasks and advisory execution.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead weekly advisory calls with customer and GE remote monitoring and diagnostic engineers.

  • Provide technical direction in an advisory capacity to railroad hourly and management employees.

  • Provide clear direction on predictive advisory notifications for maintenance and troubleshooting tasks including all appropriate documentation.

  • Interpret and ensure adherence to work scopes and maintenance instructions.

  • Provide feedback to GE teams for continuous updates to predictive analytics for advisory notifications, work scopes, engineering practices, component quality and functionality, design changes and depot processes.

  • Administer software warranty through troubleshooting, inspection and validation.

  • Manage hardware warranty claim management of material inventory stock and replenishment.

  • Encourage and maintain safe work environment.

  • Responsible for compliance with local regulations and specific local customer safety and HSE/EHS policies.

  • Responsible to provide technical support for multiple locomotive maintenance depots and service locations in Germany and Poland.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent

  • Strong Mechanical, Electrical and/or Industrial Engineering work experience

  • Strong Transportation/Rail or Locomotive depot experience

  • Experience working on rail, passenger and/or freight Diesel and Electric locomotives

  • Prior work experience in railroad locomotive depot and/or maintenance environment

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Must be fluent German (writing, reading, speaking)

  • Ability to communicate both verbal and written in English and Polish languages

  • Willingness to travel to up to 50% of your time both inside/outside to support customer hardware and software installation, corrective repair action and program/project status updates

  • Must have authorization to work in Germany
