Role Summary/Purpose

Ideal candidate must be SAP Architect in FI-CO and have project leadership and excellent communication skills. Must be able to lead cross-functional discussions and translate business process requirements into SAP technical designs and lead project implementation efforts.

Essential Responsibilities

Candidate will have overall responsibility for :

  • Implementing GE Finance Enterprise Standard requirements for S2P (source-to-pay), P2P (plan to produce) and R2R (record to report) processes in SAP for Controlling and Supply Chain Finance

  • Implementing FI and CO requirements for future SAP projects including finance simplification projects, Finance Supply Chain Optimization, and SAP integration & rollout projects

  • Implementing FI-CO requirements for expanded commercial Project Systems rollouts to support the growth of the projects business

  • Be a representative on various corp GE IT Finance & SAP working groups to ensure overall GE requirements are understood and delivered in the Ltg / Current SAP and feedback / guidance is provided to GE Corp on the best designs / solutions

  • Learn and quickly understand the existing process blueprints

  • Work with key users and business managers to understand business processes, key requirements, and significant business excellence drivers

  • Analyze business requirements to design appropriate solutions as near to SAP standard as possible

  • Facilitate end-to-end integration of all functional requirements

  • Partner with other SAP functional and technical resources to define new functionality and functionality changes

  • Document processes and SAP functionality including but not limited to processes, flowcharts, procedures, work instructions, and configurations

  • Write detailed functional specifications and provide functional specifications to the development team and follow the development process, providing answers to questions

  • Coordinate and perform unit and integration testing

  • Fix defects and incidents raised during test phases and post go-live

  • Assist with master data definition and guide business in best practices for data migrations and validations

  • Drive rapid resolution of all issues related to SAP processes, coordinating will all teams

  • Actively provide functional, technical, and process knowledge for rapid issue resolution

  • Document and deliver process and SAP training

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience of SAP FI / CO modules (Including experience delivering functional SAP expertise with in-depth knowledge of business processes (financial) and how they are supported by SAP (FI and CO) and Knowledge of SAP Organization Structures including Company Codes, Chart Of Accounts, Profit Centers, Cost Centers, WBS Elements, Plants)

  • Been through 2 – 3 full cycle SAP implementations with experience in requirements gathering, design, testing, training, implementation and go-live support

  • Profitability Analysis and reporting

  • Have deep understanding of FI- Fixed Assets configurations and processes

  • Knowledge of MM integration points with FI-CO including account determination, purchasing conditions, BOM’s, routings, work centers, order types, and manufacturing execution strategies

  • Knowledge of SD integration points with FI-CO including account determination, order types, and SD conditions

  • Basic debug and ABAP knowledge

  • Knowledge of SAP reporting tools (standard reports, report painter, report writer, SAP queries) to meet Managerial, Legal / Statutory, Customer & Product Line Profitability reporting requirements

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

  • Adept at interacting in both business and IT focused discussions

  • Excellent team player with ability to work effectively with virtual and global cross functional teams

  • Highly self-motivated and ability to work independently
