Role Summary:

Responsible for providing Category Management support to the Acquisitions and Divestitures Indirect Sourcing Category.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • This position may sit in one of the following approved locations: Boston, Atlanta, San Ramon, Cincinnati, Dubai, Singapore, Paris, Budapest, Shanghai, Glen Allen, Chicago, Rhode Island, Monterrey, Miami, Seattle, Bangalore, Detroit, New Orleans, Riyadh

  • Ownership of the day-to-day execution of sourcing processes (business cases, RFX, E-auction, SOW and/or SLA)

  • Eliciting functional, finance, risk, compliance and tax requirements

  • Work with requestors/suppliers to manage supplier day-to-day problem resolution

  • May lead small contract negotiations/key projects, engaging with key stakeholders in defining/understanding requirements through to implementation

  • Support, maintain, and update key sourcing tools, processes and systems

  • Follow and document promptly all process related changes in the Standard Operating Procedures

  • Ensure all process standards are properly documented in the Standard Operating Procedure and drive program compliance to the SOPs

  • Meet or exceed all SLA’s with the outmost integrity and in compliance to SOPs and GE policies

  • Handle customers’ escalations, and provide them with the necessary support

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years experience in an accounting or finance role)

  • Minimum 1 year work experience
