The Network Engineer will implement network solutions to enable the 400,000+ GE employees across the globe. The professional will contribute to network strategy and drive delivery of network initiatives for one of the largest commercial networks in the world. The focus will be on best of breed dynamic network that enables our global strategic datacenters.
Plan and execute technical implementations of underlying configurations on Local Traffic manager.
Lead execution of change management process deliverables to migrate policies from old LTM platform to newly deployed shared service platform.
Engage with GE BU to conduct test plans for POC's for migration as well as major new features.
Assure that all services data is properly logged and support analysis/visualization of this data for value-added use by our stakeholders.
Audit and validate service components are correctly billed, implemented to design and tech standards.
Support deployment of minor new features and enhancements
Participation in execution of sub-components of delivery for major programs
Support execution of automation initiatives designed and driven by senior staff
Support the Improvement of service documentation and knowledge base articles
Support the generation of relevant service information on company collaboration platform and respond to queries/comments on same
Collaborate with Network, and other Core Tech teams in support of activities as required
Perform ongoing research to maintain awareness of industry trends and best practices
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering
1-3 years of experience in networking (router/switch/DNS) and F5 LTMs.
- Must be willing to work out of a GE Hub location

Proficient use of IT tools desktop productivity/office tools
Working knowledge of networking technologies inclusive of proxy, firewall, DNS, and VPN.
Hands on experience designing and implementing networking service solutions
Demonstrated project management experience in development of enterprise solutions or execution of large-scale programs
Strong analytical/problem solving skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Excellent track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities
Excellent ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical communities, in particular strong presentation skills
Able to quickly establish credibility, confidence and respect with stakeholders and customers across organizational boundaries
