GE Lighting’s Consumer Sales Organization has an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales account manager to be on the forefront of GE Lighting’s efforts to generate demand in the Hardware channel segment with a focus on solution-based selling and new account attainment in the territory. The selected candidate will be responsible for not only maintaining but growing the account base to deliver on business financial goals and objectives.
The National Account Manager is responsible for managing the execution of sales, marketing, and operational programs for the Hardware Channel in North America.
In addition you will :
Plan and implement sales strategies to drive growth at both the headquarters and directly with the independent hardware stores
Develop strategic, long-term relationships with key decision makers at multiple levels of the customers and work cross-functionally with several functions within GE
Identify new product opportunities and drive growth throughout the member stores
Provide training, joint sales calls and product support
Conduct technical presentations to create awareness of new products among the member retailers
Clearly articulate value proposition and influence the customer decision making process
Work closely with the customer and GE marketing to execute national marketing initiatives and to manage the customer’s promotional plan
Develop forecasting and sales estimates and clearly communicate to senior leadership
Maintain customer product listings, coordinate planogram resets and oversee implementation of new product introductions
Demonstrate GE values
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Finance or other business or commercial discipline from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 3 years of consultative sales experience (including strategic selling and negotiation)
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout the U.S.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of consultative sales experience (including strategic selling and negotiation, preferably in consumer goods or related field)
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the lighting industry and understanding of the value proposition
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
Experience working in a team environment where the performance of others affects personal success
Highly customer centric and service oriented; self-confident & creative thinker
Motivated self-starter, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Identify, understand, and communicate customer CTQs, market trends & buying strategies to GE management
Strong presentation, PC and negotiation skills
Strong technical aptitude and proven ability to sell a technical solution
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Results-driven with a sense of urgency and strong follow up skills
Self-confident &creative thinker
Strong executive presence
