Market Intelligence Leader

The Market Intelligence Leader will drive business insights in the areas of macroeconomic environment, competitors and customers. You will be responsible for developing standards / rigor and deploying processes, best practices and tools for gathering data, translating to clear insights and sharing those insights across the business to enable and inform strategic decision-making.
You will work cross-functionally with P&Ls, regions and key functions, developing insights into market dynamics, adjacencies, and disrupters to enable GE Transportation to see around corners.
In addition, you will:
Develop tools, templates, processes to collect, store, distribute market intelligence (drive rhythm, consistency, access, use).
Improve marketing processes with expanded market intel capabilities across P&Ls, regions, and sectors, developing new tools to keep GET Marketing skills at forefront of driving a market first orientation in strategic discussions and programs.
Identify and manage sources of market data; manage budget and help optimize spending on intelligence resources across GET.
Conduct market analysis (industry, economic, regional markets, competitor); partner with regional and P&L marketing teams to support insight development needs.
Develop deep understanding of target markets, customer needs and the competitive landscape.
Develop / manage the “go to” source for comprehensive, consolidated data around key insights / metrics, including market size (total addressable need), projected market growth, profit pool analysis, market share, installed base, customer trends and performance, and competitor performance.
Facilitate and coordinate strategy sessions around market, customer, and competitive intel deliverables with regional and P&L teams.
Design and execute methods to enhance customer insight in partnership with P&L, region, Commercial and other functional teams - identify customer insight gaps, design / execute Voice of Customer initiatives to close gaps, drive customer insight to create differentiated value to grow in slow growth market environment.
Execute in-depth competitor analysis - deliver competitive insights around existing competitors as well as new and emerging threats across GET business sectors.
Develop market insights to identify strategic market shifts, opportunities and risks; forecast and help mitigate future threats by delivering insights to senior leadership.
Drive market insights to strategic marketing and business teams to support opportunity assessments, GPB and other strategic review processes.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
Minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 3 years strategic marketing experience

Primary and secondary research experience

MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field a plus
