Role Summary/Purpose

The Global Customs team of Global Operations is looking for a Project Manager. This role will own the delivery and execution of various process improvement initiatives across the organization and be a direct report into the Global Strategic Initiatives Leader.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead PMO initiatives to drive ongoing process improvement working upstream to fix processes at their source driving impact to process delivery & business results.

  • Implement and drive an operating rhythm to hold the global team accountable to operational metrics, on time deliverables and budget

  • Assist in the creation of review mechanisms to ensure adherence to the enterprise standard and performance metrics to track the COE’s and regions’ speed, quality and cost of delivery.

  • Develop operational rhythms to monitor all third party managed activities and drive ongoing process improvement.

  • Partner with business supply chain leaders for related functions ensuring strategic alignment with needs of each business in the region

  • Ensure effective stakeholder management to drive buy in, engagement & change; escalate critical issues in a timely & effective manner

  • Build strong relationships with the Global Process Leaders and drive enterprise standard implementation in the region across the supply chain.

  • Serve as a change agent by seeking, sharing and implementing best practices from global peers in order to simplify processes in the region.

  • Drive consistent operational delivery with the objective to leverage 'economy of scale' in support of cost efficiency and service simplification.

  • Deploy global reporting mechanism and engage with the regional integration teams to ensure execution alignment to plan and mitigate risks to deliver migration success


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 8+ years experience in a project management role or equivalent

  • Experience with Six Sigma, LEAN, demonstrated process improvement skills or equivalent experience

  • Ability to influence many different stakeholders at various levels of the organization

  • Clear thinker: excellent analytical, critical thinking & problem solving skills

  • Excellent written & verbal communications skills; able to articulate technical concepts in non-technical terms

  • Must be willing to travel periodically

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Desired Characteristics

  • 3+ years experience in Customs

  • FMP, CAS, or other GE development program graduate

  • Prior project management experience and/or with financial services or employee services processes, in a shared services environment

  • Project Management Certification

  • Black Belt/Master Black Belt Certification

  • Resourceful

  • Quick learner

  • Self-motivated

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
