The person in this role will be located at and support the Bucyrus Lamp Plant and report to the Plant Leader for the site. Role requires strong environmental background including air, waste, water and chemical management along with all safety programs.
In addition you will :
Responsible for maintaining compliance with all Federal, State, Local and GE Best Practice EHS regulations and standards
Provide strategic and tactical leadership of site performance in meeting EHS goals and objectives
Lead continuous improvement of EHS performance including :
OSHA & LTA reductions
site work plans
job safety analysis
and process change management
Ability to work effectively in a union environment
Lead employee safety teams, coordinate training, perform audits and maintain EHS related records
Provide timely reports to GEL EHS staff, site management and CEP
Utilize Six Sigma Tools, Processes and controls to further improve processes and reduce EHS costs
Responsibilities also include integration of EHS standards applicable to new and existing equipment and processes
Must effectively interface with the plant nurse Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety or Chemical Engineering from an accredited University or College
Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in all EHS related fields Desired Characteristics:

Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
